Hot glue may end up coming loose eventually, but Gorilla Glue & Loctite brand super glue (dunno about other brands) are both non-toxic once cured. Supposedly Loctite can be put into the tank still tacky. I've heard of people even applying it underwater, although I can't understand how- seems like it would just make a floating mess.
That looks really nice. I've been wanting to do some floating plants, but have been debating about how to keep them somewhat anchored. Thanks for the idea!
