Weird thing is that it doesnt look that big anymore :p

HA!! That is always a problem. My 220g made my 160g seem small, then my 370g made my 220g seem small, now I'm planning my next build and can't help but wonder how big I need to go to keep myself satisfied.

Did you put any braces across from front to back, or are the two 2x4 across the top rigid enough to support the window>

nice tank dude.

my only concerns are the base. none of the upright supports are at antagonist (T) angles. with the constant undulation of the water and the high room temp i dont see a 5 year life span.

I dont follow? Antagonist angles? I dont see that one, im from Norway so excuse me :) The leaking was caused by a bad area of epoxy work, i think i used to much time on the applying, and at the end of the box it almost caught on fire, and that was around the leaking area. I sorted it out by putting a second layer of fiberglass and 2 more coats, no more leak..

The support was also questionable as i had 40cm c-c and that it could "sink" and make small cracks in the bottom, what i did was to put in extra support, so that it came out 20 cm c-c, those supports was movable(had 2mm left to bottom plate) and are still movable, wich means that there is no movement what so ever in the bottom.

If it helds for 4 years im happy, at that point i got motivation to tap it down and go with liquid rubber ;)

About the geophagus, you should be :p hehe.. they are frikking huge, and has the colors they are ment to have in there, i hit the jackpot with light settings.

You should go superbig ;) The problem is that if you have a huge tank, you put in big fish, so that it doesnt look all that big anyway :) And with 19mm glass, you get very tricked sizevice, you do not see how deep this tank is before you look at it from the top. The second layer of fiberglass i had to put in is 80cm from the frontwindow, but when you look in, it looks like 20cm. So you get very tricked. And those driftwood pieces are frikking huge, but they dont look all that big when you look at the tank..

About bracing, i have 3 steel lids gooing from front to back, i could take a picture at some point.

Most Impressive!!!! Are you going to stain or paint your wood frame??? What are you using to filter????

I am going to cover it with gips and paint it white like the rest of the room, so that it will look "in wall". For filter i use a Powerbead85, runned by a 12000l\h pump. I also have 2xfx5 and eheim 2080 at this point, i just havent taken them away since the move. I had those filters on the old pond, and putted them on this tank so that i could put fish in before the PB85 was up and running. One of the Fx5`s run the 150 gallon sump(theres nothing in that sump, just a tank for stingraypups).

so jealous of this tank still, that's an amazing tank filled with some beautiful very happy looking fish! I really like the pleco and the discus, have you thought about an arowana or something to occupy the upper levels of the tank?

I have really thought about 2-3 silvers on the top, but its not covered, so there is a possibility they could jump out, but with all that space i gues they would stay:) how agressive are they? Thinking towards discus etc.
