I was at home depot looking for a 2part epoxy and stumbled upon Drylok, well after reading it I looked to my left to see Behr has come out with a similar paint, both non toxic once cured but the behr holds back 10lbs of pressure VS dry lok at only 1lbs of pressure. anyone see why this Behr would not work and replace the need for a 2part epoxy? especially at 22 dollars per gallon.... VS 80 for a 2part epoxy... Just a question

Is it designed to work with masonry like Drylok? I am thinking of using Drylok or Sani-tred to seal my plywood, but this might be a good alternative.

What two part epoxy were you going to use?

I'm sure that some people on this site would like to know the name of the Behr stuff if you could find it out. If it's the same thing as Drylok, I don't see why it wouldn't work though...

its just behr masonry water proofer. i can get the actual name for you though. its just like the dry lok only it holds back more pressure as it makes a tighter bond. but how well will it adhere to plywood is the question...i called behr and they said they wouldnt recomend using it on anything but masonry

i cant remember the name of the 2part epoxy, the guy at homedepot showed me some colors they can do with the Behr stuff, none of them where too dark. but he said he could put a few extra grams of color into the paint to darken it up and it wouldnt be harmfull. he said the colors they show to use are Behr colors, kinda like a you gotta buy our coloring agent kinda thing.

heck ya man go for it, test it every way possible too for durabillity, try to peel it off and stuff to see if it adheres well, drop rocks on it to see if it chips and all that....
