DIY Radial Flow Separators

wish I had the room for this in my fish room. im very tempted to plumb through the walls and go to an outside metal shed but with these recent temps I think that would be a mistake.
Mine are prototypes, never made a single change or adjustment and they work!
IF someone was to get conical bottomed vats with valves on the bottom, build the trough needed for flow distances to all be equal (so the drain was all the way around the drum), maybe slow down the flow rate? I bet enough tweeking and these things could really clean stuff up and with electric valve could be entirely automated.
With a concept so simple, cheap, efficient, and such a game changer from the maintenance side of things to me it's silly not to use them.
