Update:
So, we picked up the wood a few weeks ago, and tonight we got around to starting the cuts. The total cost came out to around $260. When I find the invoice I will update with the exact cost.
We had some issues with our tigrinus (we lost two of them

), so we haven't had any time to work on the other project until now. They had hemorrhagic septicemia (gram-negative internal bacterial infection), which we think was triggered by a pH crash. We first started treating with amoxicillin, but it isn't absorbed through the gills very well. So, we had gentamycin sulfate overnighted from National Fish Pharmaceuticals and we were able to save the last one. The others died before we got the gentamycin sulfate. We are continuing treatment in the new quarantine tank for the next week.
Our friend gave us a 45 gallon tank and stand that was at his work that no one wanted to maintain. (I did have to go and get it, clean it out, and find a new home for its previous inhabitants) It has a wet dry built into the back of it, so I thought it would make a great quarantine tank. I wanted to practice making miter cuts with the table saw before cutting the good wood that we just bought. The stand that it was on was a 2x4 special, so I used the wood from the stand to make a new one with wheels so we could move it around for water changes. I'm really glad that I got some practice in because there was definitely a learning curve for getting the cuts true. Some pics of the roller stand are below.
We also have the glass cut for the baffles for the sump. So, I just need to get some time so silicone them in.
