DIY Stand for 300Gallon...

my question is, what is under the floor for support? Then, is that tank like an all glass?, that is does the outer rim actually support the entire weight? It looks like the bottom is flat.

The tank is acrylic, and the floor under the carpet is cement.

Looks like a wood frame would be cheaper, and more effective.

ryan, where that tank has the crack on the edge was exactly where the stand dipped not even an 1/8" of an inch. whatever you build i would be damn shure that it is perfectly level and has zero flex under all that stress. perhaps 2x or 4x4s under the plywood(1" for good measure) running the width of the tank.
