DIY stand plans

can someone get me a few links or plans on how to make good doors, last time i did it they didnt come out to good
 
You can always hit the home improvement places or cabnet shops... a lot of them sell pre-made doors that look great.

hmmm, ill try that ill look around home depot when im getting the wood for the rest of the stand
 
you might have to ask at the desk...only a few keep them in stock but they have a catalogue by the comercial section.
 
I do my doors quick and easy, just using 4x1 boards and cross braces screwed/glued to the back. If you want to get fancy you can put a tounge & groove profile on it.

This is one of my stands being assembled - then a pic of it finished.

I guess it depends what the timber is costing you. Because I cut my own I build with solid timber instead of ply and seldom buy anything pre-made.

question, would it be ok if i changed the center 4x4's supports to 2 2x4's because i want to put a sump in but with the 4x4's there would only be 12" between the center 4x4's so that would make to much room for a sump. what do you guys think?
