I'll be building a stand soon for my new 150. It's going to be 2x4 frame with 1/4 oak wrap. I just have a couple qpuestion.

1. Should the top be plywood or can the tank rest on the 2x4 frame?
2. I've read about foam under the tank, should it be under the entire tank or just the frame?

Thanks

If the tank's acrylic, it needs to support the entire bottom.

If glass, it can just be the edges, although anything over 125 gallons I would personally have plywood with styrofoam on top supporting the entire bottom. But that might be just me being overly cautious.

It's a glass tank. Should the foam be slightly larger than the the frame or is it fine to cut it the same size?

Thanks
