DIY STAND - you can do it when you b&q it

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
b&q is a major diy store here in the uk - their slogan is 'you can do it when you B&q it' :D

thanks for all the good comment guys, im glad you like it.
i have not worked out the exact full cost but im guessing about £130 this includes the wood to do the hood , its maybe not the most economical way but its been an enjoyable project and its nice knowing you done it yourself.
the end panels and front panels are b&q beech conti board (laminated chipboard), the doors £11 each are the 500mm 'IT' range and they are in stock to take away. I also used door handles which came with the old cabinet. The aluminium trim is 20 x 20mm and finishes off the top of the cabinet and hides the edges of the panels. The beech trim round the bottom of the tank was sourced from the bottom of a juwel rio 180 and cut to suit and i done a neat job of the joints.

anything else you need to know just ask :p

Nicely done, Congrats.

Here in the States we have Home Depot. Their slogan is 'You can do it, we can help'. However, they never have what you need and the people tend to be inexperienced. They frequently tell me "you can't do that". :screwy:

Very well done. Love the stand and the entrance to the other room thats classic.
