As for insulation, don't use anything that will hold water or will be altered from splashing; Styrofoam or Great Stuff are both ideal.

1,000 gallon pond for $251.00 :naughty:

Thanks for those links. My goldfish and koi stay outside even during the winter. I don't heat their water (they are a cold water fish). The largest goldfish producing farm in the US is in Missouri. Therefor I am comfortable thinking that goldfish can tollerate anything our weather can throw at them.

Your just cruel! Probably have them stuck in a 5g bucket to :nilly:......... :j/k:, repost your pond pick.

Oh ya, nothing open cell or fiberglass matting that could get wet.

Thanks Dr. Joe, what you spelled out sounds the easiest.

I'm in North-Central Florida, not to cold, not to hot - well it does get to 90 in the summer, and we did have an 8 hour freeze this week. You might even know where it is - Gainesville.

Around here we have to add Ace Hardware to the playground list, they are the only ones that carry all the PVC plumbing gadgets.

Humm, solar power I might tackle that later on, if you have the specs.
