DIY Tank divider, what's used to hold it in place?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Okay, got wire cutters here somewhere. Thanks to you all for your help, very much appreciated! Have a Super Friday night! ::):

Stack some rocks or deco at the base for additional stability

What if you need the divider in the tank once it's up and running? You can't put silicon on it then..

This is going into an already established tank. It's going to divide a 36"x18"x18" tank. Still deciding on which way to divide it .

Well then yes silicone wont be the option! lol.. then i would make it a tight fit as previously stated.. lower the water level just a few inches... silicone the top part at least.. then some rock like somone also stated for bottom.. or it might just stay in place

It has worked out well. *Only problem is that at feeding time the feeder fish swim through, LOL! Hadn't thought about that! For now I have covered it with a thin mesh poly fabric, tied onto the divider, by extra air tubing. The suction cups work great to hold divider in place, and also used a two large rocks in there. I've got the water filters, one hanging on the outside of each half, at opposite ends of tank. * I divided the tank length-wise. (I would post pics, but ppl keep telling me to get a better camera! So I won't bother with pics.)
