DIY tank help

I am not a turtle person, but I think a liner would be much better protection against scratching than a paint-like sealer would be.

A liner would certainly be a lot less labor intensive to do as well.

Ok so if I use a linear what kind of wood should I use? And I guess I will need to put styrofoam between linear and wood, what thickness would you recommend?

I think linear might be best as well because eventually when I move out they will be coming with me so that will be best.

Since it will be in my garage, will I need to screw the framing (if needed) to the concrete floor?

Far as demensions go, I need to see what space I have to work with in garage. I believe it ma consist of 6' long, 3 or maybe 4' wide, and idk on height, 2' atleast maybe higher?

Marine grade plywood or not needed? Also do I have to screw the frame to the floor?

Ok cool, any certain thickness of styrofoam to put between wood and linear? Also do I screw the framing down to concrete floor or not needed?

I would do atleast 1" of foam but more is better. You don't need to screw it to the floor. EPDM pond liner or roofing liner (you may be able to get some scraps from a roofing company dirt cheap). You could also look into recycled billboard liners, they are also very cheap.

Ok cool thanks! I'll try and see if I can find recycle billboard linears if not no biggie I'll just buy a linear. And that's a plus not having to bolt it to ground, I thought I would have to and didn't really want to lol. I will be putting 2x4s across top like bracing so that will help and bowing. How far apart should I have the 2x4 beams?

I would say 1.5'-2'. Check some builds in the indoor pond section to see what they did.

Edit: Are you talking about the 2x4 walls or the top bracing?

If your talking about the top bracing then 1 in the middle would be fine.
