Tank Material?

Made up some pictures that will help with envisioning this tank. The new dimensions make this tank a 1200 or so gallon tank if I were to fill it the whole ways to the top, however I doubt I will be doing that, maybe after 20 or so years when the turtles are dead (or longer depending on natural occurences.) Will definetely be doing a Sump, maybe my own RO unit that does an automatic water change? I don't know how complicated I'm going to get here, as this might not even be a final plan, I could end up just doing an outdoor pond for them on a whim. Guess I'll find out when we move.

The first picture shows the dimensions of the tank.

The other picture shows a planned layout of the tank.

That should make for a very nice display tank once it's done. Fiberglass is easy to work with..non-toxic... and you can also texture it a bit before painting to give added realisum

Change of plans, slightly, at least. This will be going in a finished basement with a wall behind it, but open on 3 sides, so glass on 3 sides with a back towards a laundry/filter area. It's also going to have a pool table in the same room, so I have to figure out how thick the glass needs to be, or if I could layer a thin sheet of acrylic on the outside that could be replaced easily when a ball (it inevitably will happen) comes into contact with it. Does that sound like it'll work?

glass 1"-1.5" would withstand a billiard ball. i think?..., either way if the tank was to be filled all the way to 4" will need to be that thick anyway...having a thin acrylic layr infront would be i nightmare for condensation...

Filtration - Would a 30 Gallon Wet/Dry system work? or should I go bigger? I can make it out of a 120 Gallon tank if I have to, but was kinda hoping to keep that as a fish tank. Pictures below show mapping of the wet/dry system.
