He's looking great. Has that great dorado gold color.

very cool fish ;)

awesome fish! love the colors you have some of the healthiest and best looking fish around!
i almost want to say that looks more like salminus braziliensis or the latest description of a new species, but not maxilosus. i often wonder about this. as i've seen some small ones with huge, i mean huge mouth, and some with average mouth, or maybe they're just individual characteristics

not 100% positive either, this one is 17-18" and just a ferocious fish for its size..he is getting quite a bit of gold in him,but again I dont know enough about them to say for sure what he really is.

wow, he's that big, then he really may not be maxilosus! which what you have may be rarer, they call it the green dorado, or gold in your case

I got him from a member here(fishguts) when he was 16.5"...he now resides in that 95gal bowfront because I truely am afraid to mix him with any other fish that I really dont want to risk losing...you will have to fill me in on the species your talking about...always like to read up :)

Looking good Scott. Were you considering mixing it in with the peas in the big tank? I know they are usually more mellow when shoaling, there used to be a member with about 3 I think and they were in a 240 with a SAL and some Pbass of similar size with no problems. I've always wanted one but I either find them available too big or too small to mix with my fish at the time. ~Trent
