Figured that since I'm on here quite a bit.... Its all about the fish people-not who you are or where your from.....we are all in the same tank...all have the same passion for the hobby.....and all keepers of monsters :thumbsup:

Your 450 is one of the sickest tanks around man.. Hopefully I will be on your level one day...
 
What are you using for lighting on that tank? I need to come up with some sort of light hood for my 200 and I'm curious what your solution was.

the lighting is an existing 72" quad pc with moonlights (coralife) that I had on a 125...ane the other lights are flourex lights used for hydroponics...they are sweet and put out 500watts /uses 45watts and do not get hot...a friend turned me onto them...couldnt believe it untill I bought one...have since bought 4.....do an ebay search for FLOUREX ......look around as some sellers have them as low as $14 each...they are the square white lights above my tank in the pics. :thumbsup:

got the tank from a guy that was moving and could not take it with him....I was in the process of having a 10ft x 4ft x 30" made and was offered this tank with solid oak stand and complete filtration system for $1000 ........couldnt pass it up :grinno:
