Could you post a photo of the 1200 gallon fish tank in that it would be really cool to see it.

When i was much younger.............and knew nothing about glass I built a 60 Gal tank 500mm high out of 5mm glass with no bracing at all.

It bowed along the top by about 10mm but never actually broke. It was still running last year (12 years later) with no problems at all.

So 1mm - 2mm would not worry me at all.
