Do all leichardti's lose their barbels when they get bigger?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
no they don't. the ones you saw were just missing them due to transport or other issues. the barbels are suppose to grow as the fish gets older.

No, the barbels actually grow thicker as they get older, and point more towards out and down. Different to silvers and asians where the barbels tend to point out and up.

Leichardti point down as well. It's one the inherit differences which gives Australian 2 species their differences from the asian arowana.
