in one tank my plants do amazing that is the tank with blackworms in the gravel along with cherry shrimp

I going to take a guess that it's probably not the worms. If you take a very close look at the two systems I would bet there are something else different that is giving you better growth in that tank.
Lighting, lighting schedule, temperatures,bio load, types of plants, co2, fertilizer. Maintenance all play a part .
