Do canisters work with an aquarium on the ground?

I have fx5 canisters in my pool which is on the ground and they work. Would probably be more efficient if they were lower than the water surface.

I have canister filters on the same level as my tanks and they all work excellent!

it should work technically as long as the canister filter is primed.

It works fine. Just the same as before, the flow is not less. The intake in the aquarium is a few inches higher than the intake on the canister, and it primed without a problem.

I can also convert litres to gallons The aquarium is 60 gallons, I have another bigger aquarium which is 190 gallons.
