they did, i actually meant to have no "decor" and not bare bottom, i have sand substrate. also when i moved the driftwoods around, so stupid, i lost 3 CL's because they where inthe driftwoods.

They don't really care....all 20 of my dats have no place to hide whatsoever on a bare tank and every single one of them are happy and stable 100% of the time.

You keep them well fed and give them plenty of room, they'll be stable and happy 100% of the time, regardless of the environment.
