Do Discus require RO water?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No and i have a pair of wilds that do mate in tap water and have babies in a 30 gal tank to prove it . just stay up on water changes regularly and watch for clorine burn when doing water changes i use "prime" and double up the dose if you have a lot of clorine in your water.

post pics would like to see the parents and fry

i encourage you to join simply discus forum. there u will find all then info u need about discus. but discus are easy to keep. all the stories u hear about them being hard to keep are mainly from people who buys them from fish store that are bad quality stunted and stressed. get them from a good source and ur already a big head start.

Domestics, no. Wilds, it depends on your water's hardness. Not everybody's tap water is the same, remember that.
+1
Everyones water is different. Is it required no. Domestics no..depending on your water sometimes yes for breeding. Wilds no but they can look better in ro depending on your water hardness...breeding most times yes but also depending on water hardness.
