Do fish sleep?

I think the most interesting fish to pbserve sleeping are Parrotfish, the ones in the Caribbean. They spin a cacoon around themselves to protect themselves from predators.

Thats interesting...and what a protection ..almost like a blanket.

Hell, many parrot fish not only sleep but extrude a mucus cacoon to do it in.

there are lots of species, google parrot fish- they are saltwater fish. I think theres a bit about it on one of the programmes in the blue planet series.
