Do flowerhorn get sharp teeth?

I ask because my last one had teeth but not sharp pointy teeth more like a bluegills teeth, bumps basically. This FH I have now has like 3 sharp teeth. wierd.

Last Fh I owned had teeth like that.. it wasn't a full row or anything it was like 3-4 visible teeth. Bastard left a hell of a mark when it bit me.

yeah they can grow in some nasty teeth

They can grow teeth on the lips and they do have teeth inside the mouth on the jaw.

The ones with visible teeth are not good when breeding. Some will rip the mate's mouth up bad. I know from experience something to watch out for. When they lip lock they rip lips!

This guy has some teeth. He is only 4 or 5 inches long. His Father has some big teeth as well but most are worn down.

yeah, feed them high calcium foods and those teeth will grow more!

You need to feed high calcium foods to get big sharp teeth.

My guy has some small black/brown teeth on his lips, I've been nipped before while handfeeding.
