Do flowerhorns bloom?

Yes she can, I believe someone has already made that cross and named them Flowerjacks lol.

I bought my FH when it was less than an inch for 7 bucks. As it grew it developed the generic black marks along its side. However, 7 months down the road all but one black mark on the tail fin (much like the male oscars) exist, and the fish is a silvery blue color. Ive noticed lately that the tail fin is developing more red/purple color but the body is bland. Will my fish become beautiful by chance or is it a dud?

Male and female oscars looks exactly the same bro. Just FYI.

Male oscars have a distinct black dot on their tail. Im going to let my fh continue to swim with my fish as "she" is not aggressive like most flowerhorns. I most likely will not get another one as I do not have a separate tank for one. Maybe my jack will get lucky one of these days as it has already mated with a female JD. Other wise ill just chill with my ugly flower horn.
