I posted this in another area but didn't get any help so here it is:

I'm looking for a freshwater version of this saltwater fish:

Neon Gobies are known as "cleaner fish," since in the wild these small fish establish cleaning stations where larger fish come to be groomed. Neon Gobies, which grow to only 2.5 inches, swim around the mouth, gills, and fins of the larger fish, picking away dead tissue and harmful parasites.

Someone must know what they are.

Unaware of a FW cleaner wrasse or anything even close to it.

Clown loaches will eat fish lice off of stingrays. Thats the closest thing I can think of.

never heard of the cleaner type relationship with other fishies in fw...

I think my friend that you're out of luck. I've never heard of that sort of symbiotic relationship in any freshwater species.

I'm just trying to imagine what would happen with a pi**ed off Dovii with a little niblet of a fish poking around in it's crevices.

are there any fish that eats other fishes poo?
that'd be nice...

ROFL! all over red rover!

I've seen a video of a holistic skin treatment where they put kids with bad skin problems in a pond with loadsa little fish that nibble off all the dead skin. The boy was laughing at being tickled so it must have been freshwater as salt stings like buggery on broken skin!
