no you dont understand my brother glass tanks are less insulated than acrylic tanks so they need more watts to constantly heating them than acrylic tanks. plz understand where physics is coming from.

hes talking about lighting not heating.

Is Zartan for real? He seems to underhandedly insult someone in all his posts, in this thread and others.

At least wait until you hit 1,000 posts before you start getting smart with people, like the rest of us did. You gotta earn a snappy attitude on this site.

Agreed. Yet on the other hand, you yourself Mr. Roberto never seem to let anybody down. Thanks for all of your replies!

i vote zartan for coolest avatar of the moment.

What the hell is going on in this thread? Buncha weirdos on MFK lately. It's a fish website... A lot of people with high post counts don't even really contribute much or have nice setups.
post quality > quantity

To the OP, I have been wondering this myself. I wonder if dirty glass tops affects it as well? I haven't really noticed anything with the glass tops myself.

at first i was like wow someone finally with a brain to ask an intellectual question but then i became very depressed when its not asking if glass tanks affect watts per gallon FOR HEATERS.

So your vast amount of experience on MFK, considering you signed up THIS month, allows you to make this statement? All while you aren't contributing anything at all to the topic?

the only way to find out is to get a lux meter it measures the amount of light in the aquarium with a water proof meter try it with the glass tops on and off then let us know what difference there is
