So the other day I was informed that this fish had been at the LFS for a long time, owner could not ID him, and offered to sell this fish to me for $10 (but ultimately basically just gave it to me). How could I say 'no' to this crazy looking little monster who needed a home? My husband and I have our list of suspected species narrowed down, but would love opinions from people who actually might KNOW what this little (at least currently :D) catfish is.

i think thats a rip saw....IDK......if it is, then yes.
 
Yes thats a monster. Looks like a niger cat. Mine is 30" and growing.

Edit --- on second look his face looks different. Hmmm........
 
What's the blue color all about then?
 
It looks like a cross between a giraffe and a niger but I've never seen that mix before.

might be at a young age, and darkens with age?
