Do I have enough filtration for my tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
dude THAT SUMP is way to small..i say add a 4000gallon sump!
loaches poop a **** load so ull need it :)
p.s add another 3 fx5s

only problem with that setup is when you prime everything and get it running there will be more water on the table and floor than in the tank. lol

I bet you would blow water right out of the tank with all that water.

You are absolutely right. If I'm not wrong, all the filtration should hold about 17 gallons of water. Just a little bit over the total volume of the main tank.

I agree. I am tempted to try it for a few seconds though...

you only need 1 or 2 air stones for some extra water movement. LOL

I am thinking of adding two hydor koralia's for "optimum water movement"

So... Is there a moral to this story or just sharing a funny pic you made?

I've heard of a "river tank", but never a "geyser tank"!

That was the fist visual that came to my mind with the loach in there!

Seriously though, I want to try having everything run and see how it turns out.

Similar to the wet dry filter, the fx5 and xp4 is filled to the rim with ceramic rings for .0000000001 to 0 ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate readings.

This is thread is all about having fun.

The moral is: "There is overfiltration, but this is lunacy."
