Do I need a new faucet in order to use this aqueon water changer?

Use the bathroom faucet as it'll more likely have a threaded aerator that can be removed and replaced w/ an adapter available at your local hdwe store.
Nope the bathroom faucet is Fancy It does not have an aerator. The wife will certainly not let me touch that one. However the laundry room sink would just see in the picture I can change to something threaded.

Or I was thinking about going into the ceiling and adding some sort of other connection there because on the left wall is a storage room so I was thinking about makeshifting something. I think it's changing the faucet sink will be easier and cheaper

I was thinking the laundry room would be best, they are usually have very utilitarian type threaded ends.
You may not want to go up above the tank, because you then lose the gravity effect.
When using gravity once you use the water running in the faucet to start siphoning, you can turn the faucet off, and it will continue o siphon without wasting clean water

I had the same problem. Many use pumps. I use a transfer pump. About 40-50$. Also use a rigid tubing hose for better flow.
For filling-
I use a Y in reverse. For controlling water going into tank.

I'm on well water but I have water softeners etc so I need to use a water from inside the house and not and outside spigot. Is that why you use this outside spigot? I still have a pump that I never got rid of from years ago that I would use to drain the water. But filling the tank up is the issue
