do i need a quarantine tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I wouldnt worry too much about a quarantine with a 55g tank, its nice to be able to treat fish effectively, which you can do in a 55g, however when you get into really big tanks like over 300g, then a quarantine is more helpful, i recently lost a few fish because i couldntquarentine and i couldn't treat 600g I determined it would cost over 500 bucks to treat that much water

ill keep an extra filter running on the 55.ill keep this 10gl until after i qt some new fish then after that im gonna let my friend have it for his son because he wants to get him a little fish.i find that a lil more satisfying than getting a T.
when the time comes for new fish or there is a diseased fish or something ill just run out and buy a cheap 20gl tank and use some 55gl water, some gravel and spare filter for it.

thanks peoples for your insight
