Question is, do I need an AC110 right away or can I wait until I find a good price on one, or do I really need one at all? Of course the more filtration you can get is always better, but if I don't have to spend $90 then I would rather not.

Tank Size: 150 Gallon
Current Filtration: 2 x Rena XP3
Stock: 1 x GT, 1 x Fire Eel, 4 x YoYo Loach, 1 x BN Pleco, 10 x Giant Danios, 2 x Sevs, 1 x Amphilophus lyonsi

What's wrong with what you've got?

If your unsatisfied with your mechanical filtration then id say it is the way to go. If you have clean clear water your happy with and 0 nitrite 0 ammonia id say stick with what you got.
If you feel you need more water movement a powerhead obviously would be the way to go.

Was more or less concerned that I didn't have enough filtration for my stock. Everything is still small and I want to make sure I have enough for when the stock list reaches adulthood.

For water movement I have a koralia 3 running and at the moment I do have an air stone in there, not sure if I'm going to keep that or not.

I use twin ac110s and twin xp3s on my 150g:D Of course I've been told that I don't have intelligent filtration:screwy:
