Do I need an AC110?

Who said that? Sounds like quite the sweet setup to me.
 
Over filtration is never a bad thing. But I think you can wait it out.

I personally think you're fine, just do weekly water changes. ;)
 
i run them on all my tanks great back up for mechanical filtration(when necesary)i run purigen i all of mine

agreed

if you have money burning a hole in your pocket or you are bored with your tank and just want to do something. Then maybe it is time for you to step up to BIG BOY status and start gathering sump plans and parts.

Alot of people including myself spend years and hundreds of dollars messing around with rinky dink HOB's and canisters before steping up to the plate and getting good filtration.

In the end if you are going to be a lifer in the aquarium hobby you will have sump filtration. And then you will look back and think about all the money and time you wasted with Hob's and canisters.

Not trying to offend anyone but its true.
