do i need more filteration

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
:iagree: the way to fix it is not by adding filters. These will do absolutely nothing to rid your tank of ammonia until your tank is cycled anyways. If you want to do this down the road go for it. Right now you just need to make sure your fish live until your tank is cycled. As I stated in your previous thread you need to keep up on waterchanges and use something to get rid of ammonia until your tank is stable. Like posted above me

guys i am so sorry i read my test wrong my nitrates are 20ppm and nitrates are 0 does this mean mt tank is cycled thanks for all the information guys im just new at this and dont want to keep bugging everyone

is you're tank bare bottom? didn't see that in your post..unless i wasn't reading carefully. anyways, more filtration is better always better, bottom line is... what causes your cloudy water. my personal experience, you're tank is not fully cycled. i do a 85-90% 2-3x a week on my 60 gal tank, it is filtered by an xp3, 2.5" of gravel with UGF (nothing beat old ways of filtration!) powered by air pumps and two aquaclear powerheads. My point here is.... since i got a big bioload on my gravel, even if i change it 90% it doesn't not and will not get cloudy unless i put the whole can of flakes. the bioload is big enough. if you just cycled your tank, you're bioload may still be catching up. it takes time, just do a 20-25% water change, don't over do it, unless you got big filter with massive bioload to back it up.:) just giving my personal advise and experience.:)
