Striped ones are convicts, I saw 3 males and one female. Female has orange on her body.

He may be new. Convicts can look a lot like Frontosas to someone who doesn't know any better.

And to really new people all fish look alike.

I bought someones tank worth of cichlids this weekend that was closing there tank i bought them from him but i do not know what any of the fish are

are these convicts male or female / or frontesas male or female?

I'm scratching my head because I thought all black cons looked like that when mature.... I just gave away a tank full that looked just like that (I'm guessing some were 6" +), was that bad?? lol.

^I haven't seen a con that big besides spizz's cons they are beasts in their own right but that is a group of huge cons with some considerable nuchal humps, straight beasts.
