I'm addicted to my Iphone. I don't know if the droid or any other ones are better cause I've never used them but I don't have any problems with my Iphone either. It drops calls every once in a while but nothing serious. I don't even use my home computer much anymore because it's so much faster to just look on my phone.
i phones suck as phones. they work great as mini laptops though.all my friends with iphones are always hanging up on calls with thier face.
the iphone is an incredible device with a beautifully polished OS and the finest touch screen/response/sensitivity/zooming/scrolling i ever seen.
with that, i hate the iphone, i hate apple, i hate itunes, and i hate steve nutjobs. and for that reason, i will never own an apple product, besides the ipod that sits collecting dust.
i dont like being told by a company what i can and cant do with my phone, what i can and cant see, and what i can and cant download. its my product, i paid for it, and i should be able to do as i damn well please. and for that reason, im all Android baby! currently using the moto Droid and it's a beast of a phone, a multi tasking fully customizable open-source monster!
i think this whole iphone vs android debate reminds me of the mac vs pc/windows thing where apple shut the whole world out backed themselves into a corner with products who only appeal to people who care about fashion and not performance.
just yesterday Adobe announced that it was pulling the plug on Flash development for the iphone, simply because of apple's nazi ways. they will be concentrating 100% on android.
android is the future. only problems i see is product/OS fragmentation since so many products are coming out with android, whereas apple has one polished product.
the only thing i feel im missing on the droid compared to the iphone is its butter-smooth user interface, touch screen response. many say its so smooth because it cant multi task and doesnt have multiple processes running at all times whereas the droid does, "droid does" lol.

You couldn't have said it any better. The iPhone is so much smoother and quicker then the current Droid and with the "multitasking" i hear thats going to be unveiled in the new update for iPhone 4.0 os.
The only reason also the iPhone is gonna continue to dominate is that just like how windows os has all these awesome applications and i would never own a mac bc i love my windows applications. Thats how iPhone i believe is corning the phone market. There are just so many great apps on it.
When you say oh it doesnt run flash. But then it has like 100k flash games. If it isnt free you can normally demo it. The screen is too small to run standard flash games. Ive played flash games on my iphone using remote desktop and my computer as a host. My buddy's Droid doesn't do one thing that my iphone cant do. GPS the stars you name it. Multitasking happens on both phones you just dont realize it. On a phone multitasking normally involves Make a call while playing a game poof your multitasking. Or listen to music while browsing the web. That happens on both phones right now honestly The droid in my mind is a old Sidekick just upgraded internals i mean they are both made by Motorola i burnt thro 3 sidekicks back in the 90s i feel when something has a moving part it can break a ton faster X). I have two iphones one was given to me and a month later i got the 3gs and comparing it to the Droid OS the droid is very laggy and jolty in the os and in the browsing ive just never compared it to the more powerful HTC HD2 which has a bigger screen better camera and flash and 40% more powerful processor and it runs Windows 7 mobile. Im tempted by the hardware that gates put out but i know it doesnt have the apps i want yet. Lets not forget about the nexus one aka droid keyboardless ah wait thats just another iclone
