Do jewels suffer from empty nest syndrome?

I find with most cichlids, it is best to remove the male to another tank, soon after spawning .
It usually takes @ 10 days to 2 weeks for the female to be ready to spawn again after the fry are removed, and that 2 weeks can be critical for the females survival.
The male is always immediately ready, and if the female isn't responding to his needs, she can be a goner.
And if he's ready, the fry are also in danger, competing for the females attention.

good to know, thank you. Should I just leave her solo for that time or would I need to add dithers or something? I have them solo in the tank because I didn’t want them to kill anything else. I originally had a bn pleco with them and they killed it just before they spawned
