Do not mix a small ray with a Large sized Bichir

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've had that happen to me before... Lost a 7.5" motoro due to a bite inflicted by my 18" Endlicheri. Took a huge chunk of it's disk... biting right through the ray's organs! :(

Wesley, I suggest you move the ray out from your main tank... with your ray's wound being raw & fresh like that... your bichir (or other fish) can easily sense or smell it... it may just may take another snap at it once it's hungry again?!!... if not another fatal bite, it might just be enough too overstress your ray to death?!! :uhoh: Keep a close eye on the tank the next couple days and GL! :headbang2

dam dude that blows who would have thought a bichir could do that i wouldnt haveminer are so docile

i feel your pain :(
i'm getting 4 motoros soon ;)

Yeah they do... :) If they dont get stressed and if the wound isnt that deep
they can regenerate quickly. It scars sometimes..

Sorry to hear about you ray man !

You say they heal fast i'm interested to see how that chunk which is missing will heal can you please post pic's when healed and keep us posted on his health.

Thanks. :)
