i want to do a pbass ,pike cichlid and oscar tank in my basement this tank will be at least 240 g i will be puting my xingu 1 and venni along with one other pike would like at least 2 pbass and 2 oscars the tanks dementions are 5'x3'x2, could i add a tiger shovel

5 by 3 by 2?

those are awful dimensions, you wouldn't be able to keep your xingu and Venezuelan in that tank alone i would try and get at least a 8 by 2 by 2

Stay away from highly aggressive pikes. There are quite a few people who keep crenicichla with pbass, I plan on doing so when they are all larger.

Depends on what kind of pike some can be aggressive but generally most are semi aggressive you could keep a large pike with Pbass plenty of people have done it

Those demensions are great if you keep catfish or stingrays but not the best for cichlids i would try to get a tank thats 6 feet long minimum 7 or 8 feet long would be much better but bigger is all ways better the 3 feet wide is good so you don't have to go much widder 4 feet wide would be nice though if you wen't for the 4 feet wide I would think about stingrays

And as for the tiger shovelnose your gonna need a tank thats 8'x4'x2'-2.5' minimum

I've had a 12" strigata with a 12" pbass in an 8x2x2, and they both had split fins all the time. You're going to have a tough time keeping the peace, but having distinct territories does help.
