I doubt they'll get along without hiding spots. offer a plenty of places to hide cuz the royal pleco is very aggressive to bottomfeeders but they dont injure the rival but golden nuggets kill other plecos. it may not work.

My L-114 cactus will not bother the geos or roseline sharks but does not like other bottum dwellers. And with array of hooks and spines he usually gets his way funny he is 11 inches and ignores an albino bn that is 3 inches. Can't keep any other plecos with him though.
Yes, they do. Had an adult male BN in my 180g, added a vampire plec more than twice his size and he chased the poor vampire all over the tank. After 24 hours of the vampire being harassed, I evicted the BN from the 180g and put him in the 75g with my sub-adult jag. That BN holds his own with the jag. There were tons of hiding spots in the 180g, and it should have been plenty of room, but the BN was a jerk.
