Hey Everyone,

Im 100% sure this pooch is a Pomeranian as that is what the owner has told me. The dogs name is Charlie and he very affectionate and loves everyone which has led my brother to be very interested in getting one. The owner which is my cousin's friend said she is just a pomeranian that they get her groomed every three months. My biggest question is do pomeranians shed? Many dogs that I have held/pet or scratch always left lots of hair except for yorkies and those kind of dogs. With this pomeranian I literally tried to pick hair of him and no hair would be loss....this isn't a one time thing Ive played with this dog multiple times a week and there wouldn't be any hair on my clothes nothing.

Could there be a mix with this dog not just Pomeranian or does grooming really make a difference?IMG_3212.jpg

My wife and I rescues and fosters dogs so not an expert but it does look like it's not a pure pom...grooming has a big part in it as well as regular baths. We have 5 dogs in all various sizes and foster 2-3 at a time usually. Depending on the weather and mix of dog breeds shedding can be near non exsitent. Every breed and mix is very unique.

Here's a pic of my aunt's Pomeranian for reference. His name is Buddy and he is 14. She has a groomer come every other week to keep his coat free of knots and matting. Either way, your pooch is adorable. Best wishes!

If you don't like dog hair... don't buy a pom.. they will shed regardless how much grooming they get. April and November are the worst months for shedding...those are the months they change their coats.
