do stingrays eat their babies

really? OMG, now i keep some pregnant female together in 1 pond... should i put them in a separate pond?
and the worse part, i dont have more empty space for them...

I had a litter of pups born a few years ago in which they were eaten. I woke up in the morning and found three pups in the pond. When I got home there was only one left (I mean completely gone). The other two had been eaten.

A friend of mine had a litter of six eaten.

It happens. I don't think that it happens often. I don't know why it happens.

I never looked at my rays in quite the same way.

Some females even eat their own pups, I know out of experience...

I was never sure if it was the male or the female.

If at all possible, I would remove the pups from the parents as soon as possible.

You never know. This happened after about six litters without incident.

Best to remove them right after birth to assure they are not eaten.
