i just a got a baby black aro for cheap but when i took it home and put it in my tank, I noticed that the 2 streamers on the BELLY of my new aro were bitten off. The fin is still there perfectly. I'm guessing the barbs from the LPS bit them off. Do they grow back when the aro grows? Also, one of his appendages on his forehead (kinda looks like a bunny ear) is missing. Is that important for appeal?

Do they grow back to normal? It is roughly 2.5 inches long.

Wouldn't worry about it as there is nothing you can do either way. Probably will grow back, but depending on the damage maybe not. Best you can do is put your efforts into providing proper care for the arowana.

Streamers will grow back for, however, they won't be as long as the original length and there will be a break in the spot where it broke off. If you really want it to grow long and straight again (without no breaks), you would have to cut it completely off, leaving only a few mm sticking out from behind the scale that covers it.
Don't know what this is: "appendages on his forehead (kinda looks like a bunny ear)", need picture. Nostril area????
Something to keep in mind is that black arowanas are much more sensitive to tap water than other species of arowanas. Barbels and streamers can fall off completely if you don't acclimate it properly.

Ya the streamers were bitten completely off. Can will be the difference in look appeal?
