You could keep them with large arowana or large catfish. I have mine with mono's, a large silver aro, a big spotted gar and a leiarius longibarbus catfish. The catfish is the same size and growing at the same rate as the tem.

:iagree: with everything my man junior has said, nothing more to add..

Except one minor detail...youre gonna need a tank that is minimum 8ft long and 3ft wide for 1 full grown Temensis. If you plan to have more, which you probably will, plan on having a 10ft long tank that is atleast 4ft wide.

hahahahahahahaha..... what do you think......?
size has alot to do with aggression with any fish... dont ya think.... your looking @ a fish that gets 26+inches.....

ill break this down.... there are alot of differents sp. of temensis..
all get as big as 26+inches, very aggressive to other tankmates...
same as all cichla temp needs to be up....
speckles on the tem dissapear when fully matured!
you need a very big enclosure if you plan to house them for life.....
tankmates??? IMO.. only cichla will be best for a tem... but if you are looking for other types... make sure they can keep up with the growth spurts that the tem has.. or else it will dissapear before your eyes!!

it has been said..

Yes, they do get big pretty quick - you need to be very prepared for that!
IMO I don't think they are particularly aggressive to similar sized tankmates, nowhere near like convicts, mine are pretty mild mannered actually. Obviously they are aggressive with anything they perceive to be food though!

Here's mine - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=buY7JzukXn8
