Do they really puff up????

So i've seen puffers everywhere!!!! And i like what they look like, But i was wondering, Do they really puff up? And can i keep 1 ONE in a ten gallon tank with tiger barbs?

All puffers have the ability to puff when stressed/frightened/threatened. How many barbs are in there? I'd think with a school of barbs in a 10g, it would be fully stocked.

get pea puffers! the other smaller variety may prefer brackish water. check out punk's site--best one out there.

Well i didn't know of they did or not. And i have freshwater aqum. salt in the tank in a small jar. And theres only four tiger barbs in their.

There is absolutely no reason to keep salt in a FW tank.

I think your TBs would be happier in a school of 5-6. That's enough fish for your tank. Forget about a puffer in there.

yes they really puff i got a spoted that another fish swam buy him real fast and poof. its not good for them @ all though and tey are all brakish from what ive been told. and in a ten g with lots of filtration you could do 2 or so gold greens

When I had my 7" Fahaka, I saw him puff up one time for no apparent reason. I was amazed at how huge he got. It was crazy.
