Do turtles shed?

Hey guys recently my turtle has "shed" a little bit.... Is this normal?I feed himm2times a day eating a whole silver side in the mourinin and half a silverside and an earthworm at night trying to get him on repto turtle food or something like that. He is a snapping turtle btw

ohhh ok so this is pretty normal i guess? and does he need anyother lighting? i have him in a 54gallon pond (temp.) outside with natrual light thats all he needs right?and am i feeding him enough? he always seems to be hungrey
 
They have big appetites and many will eat until they get fat. Natural light is great and should be enough.

They won't get fat if they have the temperatures to properly metabolize themselves.........Shame most people don't give them the option, and then blame the animals.......
