do u think im over stocked?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
there's ur answer..

Do a Nitrate test, my thoughts are that it will be through the roof.

You will have a constant battle with Nitrate, check your tap water and if it is below 25-30ppm the you need to just do regular, large water changes of atleast 30% per week just to keep this at marginal levels.

I have a medium stocked african 400litre tank and it can go from 10ppm of Nitrate to 100ppm within two weeks of no water changes and only moderate feeding.

Check it out.

Just a heads up frontosa get 12"+ but i think your good for now. upgrade will be needed before you know it though.

i have a 55g tank, it has a 30/60 over the back filter, and a ehiem canister filter, and has 2 1 ft air strips across the back, and i got a bunch of rocks in a big group for the smaller fish to hide from the bigger fish. Heres my stock list
S= small m= mid L=large
L 1 dragon blood male
S 1 fire ob female breeds with dragon blood
L 1 acei male
M 1 albino red top zebra male
S 1 frontosa unknown
S 1 mixed peacock male
S 1 blue dolphin unknown
M 1 ahli male
S 1 gombe unknown
S 1 tangerine male
S 1 german red male
M and S 2 yellows breeders
M and S 2 red zebras breeders
M 2 blue ob peacocks male

You don't have too many fish, you have the wrong fish. You could have that many dwarf mbuna. IMO - your acei, front, moori and fryeri will get too big for a 55. Your "yellow breeders" and "red zebra breeders" will cross breed. The female peacock will attract the other male peacocks besides the dragon's blood - some of your peacock males will get bullied or killed. Your stock will not work long term.
