cool site

i think we talked about this b4 w davidw...

temps should be in the upper 70's to 80 tops, if i remem correctly...

i have always kept my tanks at 80.

Yea...I remember talking about this...thinking that some of the higher temps might not be so good for the rays when I loss my female marbled. I mentioned that Dr. Ross' book mentioned something about the possible ill effects of high temps but Mike (H20) said that he (Dr. Ross) had since altered his thinking on that and that he now kept his tanks around 85 if I remember correctly. I keep mine at like 80-83 regularly. Question is, can anyone speak to possible or probable ill effects of higher temps?

76-78F for me

Natural range is low to mid 70s for most of the year. They will see 80s from time to time out there.

People ignore that due to the idea that they eat more and grow faster in warmer water. Not always the best for the animals, but that's just me.

Low to Mid 70's, i cannot find that data anywhere, care to share? If that is what they come from i would do it, it would be cheaper on the electric bill too :)

These are also the temps which DW talks about using. It is the reason I
dropped my heaters to 76 degrees. My rays are very active and still eat
like hogs.
