My gender identity is irrelevant but actually, yes. And if I were standing in front of all of you would you look me in the eyes and call me that?

well, being the person that i am, no i wouldn't.

i don't know how you view me,............ well, actually i know how you view me because you told me.

but anyone here long enough to know me, knows that i like to mess around but if someone is offended by what i do, i would be considerate of their feelings.

i most likely won't stop using the word, but i won't use the word on you personally, knowing that you are a trans person and how you feel about the word

This is all news to me. No idea that word was considered a slur.

News to me as well. Especially since the only two transgender people I know both encourage others to use it. It's the term they prefered us to use. Makes it an interesting question: refrain from using it around just the people that get offended by it, or discontinue it's use and offend those than want to own it.
