Do you consider fish as meat?

I can see this forum getting real bad pretty soon.

This has been a very good debate so far, props to everyone for keeping it clean.

It comes from an animal, it's placed in the meat catagory on the food paramid. It's meat.

Ya but this statement would make eggs meat. Also beans and nuts are in the group too, although not from an animal.

I don't either i always thought fish was meat.

There are many people in the world who seem to think that fish and meat are entirely different things. Well, they are just simply not right, and that is precisely what we want them to realize. That fish IS meat. And that is what this webpage is here for.

From a biological standpoint: it is meat.
From a Christian standpoint: it is not meat.
From a vegetarian standpoint: it is meat, therefore they leave them alone.
From a self-righteous vegetarian standpoint: fish doesn't feel pain, therefore it is okay to eat.
From a extreme self-righteous vegetarian standpoint: only mammals are worth saving.

Im a Vegetarian who eats Cows, Chickens, Pigs, fish, Bugs, and other various fauna. They arent meat, They are Creatures!! lololol

But seriously, I have met Vegetarians who have said fish are not meat and feel no pain ... However I also know Carnivores who enjoy inflicting pain.
