what if the trucks only like 500 bucks? and you guys are saying dont buy it? when its just for driving?

I live in michigan and the snow can get bad. I personally wouldn't buy a 4 x 4 with 4L not working. I know you don't need it everyday but when your stuck you just might. Sounds like the dealer was wanting his commision

4lo only has one purpose.....to supply more torque to the front and rear differentials when your engine cannot produce enough to turn the tires because you are (A) pulling a heavy load or (B) ascending an obstacle.
Andy, Fwd cars are the next best thing to 4x4 or awd vehicles....The majority of the weight of the vehicle is resting on the drive wheels. With that being said, you cannot go "anywhere" in a fwd or a 4wd.
